WHO ARE KINDRED SPIRITS?

JOHN KING is a qualified mountain leader with over 30 years experience of walking and climbing in Scotland. He has also completed several Alpine climbing seasons, nursing an ambition to climb all the 4000m peaks in the Alps.

John has assisted in the development of team building courses for commercial organisations using outdoor pursuits and has instructed Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme participants.

A keen cyclist/mountain biker, John has cycled from Land's End to John o'Groats, coast to coast across Mexico and a mountain bike expedition to Mongolia.

FREDDY SHELDRAKE is a qualified mountain leader with 30 years of hillwalking experience in Scotland. An opportunity to retire early from the post of lecturer in recreation and outdoor education allowed more time for travelling and the development of other interests.

Responsibilities included multi-activity team building residentials for students and management trainees. Also employed by the Youth Service to co-ordinate Duke of Edinburgh Award Schemes. A keen interest in flora and fauna and environmental issues.
