Best winter boots Scarpa Manta and Scarpa SL
I've been so busy that I hadn't picked up last month's Trail Magazine until last night (next month's arrived in the post this morning). I finally got round to reading their winter boots test. Those of you who have read a lot of this blog might recall me going on about how my Meindl Nepal Pro boots didn't cut the mustard, but instead just cut up my heels. I had decided I'm going to have a pair of Scarpa SL's for my winter hillwalking this year as a Christmas present.
So last night I open Trail and find Best 3-4 season boot: Scarpa SL and best 4 season boot: Scarpa Manta. So no surprises there then (it's been the same for about the past 5 years). Looks like I might have made the right choice. Hope Santa's feeling flush. Posted by bigcrags @
