Great Outdoors Food - Beef Jerky
They've been chewing it in America since the cowboys, and probably before, but Beef Jerky is only now making it's way into the UK. The reason I'm mentioning it here is that it is superb outdoors food. Throw it in your sack and chew on it whenever you feel like it for some concentrated calories. It never seems to go off. It won't split and spill gooey liquids all over your bag. It wont squish into non recognisable shapes. Now I know I can get beef jerky by the booze section in Somerfield, but online the Wild West Beef Jerky store seems to be the place to get it in substantial quantities. And if you're a veggie? er... carrot anyone?

you need to check out This beef jerky store They have the most beef jerky I have ever seen!! Talk about variety. When i was in England this past year i came across a great Beef Jerky Made in Northumberland. They have an online order service. Try http://britishbeefjerky.co.uk . Don't let the site put you off just because it is simple and small. I met the owners and they spend many hours a week just trying to keep up with the orders for their fine products so you know whatever you order will be fresh. Without all of the additives that alot of the commercial jerkies have. : 9:45 PM I agree, I live in Michigan, but I still drive 1 1/2 hrs out of my way just to stock up!!! They have the best jerky ever. I take it to all of our family functions. They have turkey jerky and buffalo jerky also, haven't tried them yet, but I will. Good to know that they ship. THX # posted by
