Mountaineering Council of Scotland membership
Well it was my birthday the other day and my wife surprised me with a family membership of the MC of S. It came completely out of the blue, and I think it's a great present.
Looking forward to making best use of it. Lots of hut trips and attendances at the safety lectures etc. MC of S is an extremely worthwhile organisation and they have fought hard recently for the rights of walkers and climbers. When the first draft of the Land Reform Act came in, the number of points that they had to fight for our interests on was mountainous!
Anyway, I'm glad to be a member now and maybe I'll see you in one of the huts sometime.
